Through its Information Sharing and Protection programs, AIDER supports vulnerable refugees by providing timely, accurate, and accessible information that helps communities make informed decisions and access services. The organization has conducted awareness campaigns on gender-based violence (GBV), child protection, legal rights, and access to services in collaboration with partners including UNHCR, KCCA, NRC, and Justice Centre Uganda. AIDER has also strengthened referral pathways and community protection mechanisms, especially for refugee women and children facing vulnerability in urban settings. Through outreach sessions, safe spaces, and community dialogues, the organization continues to bridge information gaps while promoting safety, dignity, and access to justice for refugee communities.
AIDER Refugee Initiative is a refugee-led nonprofit rooted in Kampala, Uganda. We advocate for refugee rights, share critical information, and equip refugees with vocational skills.
